Grenoble Ecole de Management has been designing, developing, and using its own serious games since 2013. And the games are about more than just having fun—they are powerful teaching tools that get learners to grapple with complex problems. The business school uses serious games regularly in its traditional degree and continuing education programs.
“Tech It!” is the latest of Grenoble Ecole de Management’s serious games, and it was developed with Leti under the IRT Nanoelec training program. Players use fundamental innovation management skills to determine the potential market value of nanoelectronics technologies.
The AMBA (a leading international business school accreditation organization) award, given out in London on January 20, recognizes Grenoble Ecole de Management’s entire serious games strategy: using gamification to support innovation and technology transfer through board games like “Tech It!,” trainer training and certificates, and a Playground to design and experiment with new methods.
